Gift Planning

Including a bequest to Thrive in your will or trust enables you to leave a lasting legacy and helps ensure that accessible, affordable mental health care in our community remains available far into the future.
Bequest Intentions
Bequests allow you to leave a future gift as part of your will or estate plan. Bequest gifts are a simple way to make a big impact for years to come.
Here is sample bequest language you can share with your attorney:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to Thrive Counseling Center, an Illinois not-for-profit corporation, having its principal offices in the Village of Oak Park, State of Illinois, (a specific amount or a percentage of the estate) to be used for its general purposes (you may insert an area of Thrive you wish to support).”
If a gift is restricted:
“In the event the (purpose of the restriction) can no longer be served, my gift may be used for other appropriate purposes as reasonably determined by Thrive.”
Donor-Advised Fund Giving
Use a donor-advised fund to easily support Thrive while also gaining favorable tax benefits.

Non-cash options also are great ways to support Thrive.
In-Kind Donations
We have a long and productive partnership with the The Economy Shop, a reseller that donates its proceeds to seven charities including Thrive. Please donate your gently used and new items to them so we can raise additional funds for Thrive. Bring your donations to 103 S. Grove Avenue, Oak Park. The open donation door is located on the South Blvd. side of the building.
