Laura received her Master of Social work with a specialization in mental health from Loyola University of Chicago in 2020. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from New College of Florida. She has a particular interest in trauma, neurodivergence and reducing the stigma of seeking treatment for mental health issues. Laura works with adolescents and adults as well as being part of the Trauma Clinic team at Thrive. She has experience utilizing a variety of therapeutic approaches including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and is an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)-trained therapist. Outside of her work at Thrive, Laura loves traveling, being in nature, and spending lots of time petting her two dogs and two cats.
