Javier Sanchez, LCSW

Javier received his Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois Chicago and his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Roosevelt University. In addition to providing individual therapy, Javier co-facilitates our Sibshops group. He has many clinical interests: relational and evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, restorative justice, and peace circles. He is also interested in trauma narrative, internal family systems positive psychology, value-based approaches, all with an intersectional, feminist lens. Outside of work, Javier enjoys playing disc golf, D&D, board games, and card games.
