Angie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified AODA Counselor who received her Master’s in Social Work with a concentration on substance use at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Angie is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. She has experience working with adolescents, college students, and adults from various backgrounds, demographics, and cultures. As well, she has significant experience working as a crisis worker for adults with mental health issues.
When working with clients, Angie primarily uses a cognitive behavioral approach, but will utilize other therapeutic techniques to meet the needs and goals of the client. Overall, she views clients as experts on their lives and works to highlight individual strengths, empower her clients and foster growth towards reaching their goals. Angie is experienced in working with persons struggling with self-esteem, body image, trauma, boundaries, relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders.
