Amber received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Iowa State University and her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Amber takes a holistic and strengths-based approach to therapy, where understanding all parts of an individual is crucial to understanding their daily functioning, while also highlighting their internal strengths and abilities to promote positive change. Through mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral techniques, Amber is dedicated to helping clients become the best versions of themselves. Amber has experience working with children, adolescents, and families, as well as adults. Her areas of interest include: depression, anxiety, trauma, transitions and adjustments, and family relational problems. Amber believes that by providing an open and judgement free space, the client is able to explore their true human potential and reach self-actualization as she provides empathy along the way. Outside of work, Amber enjoys listening to music, watching tv, and plans to travel more often!
