Aileen is an outpatient therapist for adults, children and adolescents. She has experience working with adults tackling issues stemming from depression, anxiety, and trauma. Prior to joining Thrive, Aileen has worked in Head Start programs and interned at Chicago HOPES for Kids, providing educational support for children living in Chicago’s homeless shelters. Since early on, Aileen has had a particular interest in working with children who have experienced trauma. She has up to eight years of experience in child and family advocacy, and case management among diverse populations in the social service field.
Aileen believes therapy can allow individuals to gain an increased sense of self-worth. She is dedicated to creating a safe and calm space for people to explore their needs on a journey to healing and wellness. Aileen’s therapeutic approach utilizes client-centered, solutions-focused, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Aileen graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Masters in Social Work (MSW) and a specialization in Mental Health.
