Sarah Ligon is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a specialization in mental health from Loyola University Chicago. Sarah works with adolescents, adults, and families on a variety of presenting issues including but not limited to anxiety, depression, family conflict, relationship concerns, life transitions, and trauma. Sarah views clients as experts on their lives and works to highlight individual strengths, empower her clients and foster growth towards reaching their goals. Her approach varies depending on a client’s needs but may include solution-focused, narrative, psychodynamic, and strengths based interventions. Some of Sarah’s clinical interests include women’s issues, trauma, anxiety and depression. Sarah is interested in conducting brief therapy with clients who are working on short-term goals, as well as insight-oriented therapy with those clients who benefit from a lengthier process. Sarah believes safety, trust, and acceptance are key to a strong therapeutic alliance.
